GOLD

Gold seems to be everywhere at the moment, and like almost everyone I love GOLD. My gold obsession isn't anything new though. I've been a fan for awhile now but now that it's so popular and it's showing up all over, my obsession has grown! Pink & gold are by far my two favorite colors.

I just want to share some of my instagram pictures with you and share some of my shopping secrets.

How amazing is this monogrammed stationary?????? AH I'm so obsessed with it! One of my resolutions for 2014 is to send more snail mail. Who doesn't love getting a little something in the mail? esp, when its not a bill or junk mail. I know I would love getting more handwritten letters from friends.
Check out Jenny Bevlin's shop for more amazing goodies!

(I made the star confetti, gold clothespins are from the dollar section at Michaels craft store)

Reece & Blair
If you haven't already heard of them, you must check them out!
I'm currently OBSESSED with these bangles!
they are GORGEOUS and you can just stack them up, as many as you want.
They have several different stones to choose from.

The ones pictured above:

Pink "The Emma"

I already have a few new ones picked out :)

My small score in the dollar section at Target. The gold glitter washi tape, note cards and note pad.
The white notebook with gold polka dots is Kate Spade.
The gold monogram is by me :)

When I saw this sweater online, I knew I had to have it. But my size was sold out, so I went to the store and GOT THE LAST ONE! It's Lauren Conrad at Kohl's

The tassel necklace is from Brina Box

Found this box at Marshall's on sale for $3!!!!!!! How could I not buy it??? It's perfect for holding all my stationary :)

DIY tassel garland

First off, someone please remind me NOT to blog from my phone or tablet. This is my 3rd time writing this blog post!!!! UGH! They kept deleting or wouldn't even let me edit them or publish. On a REAL computer now, so I should be good!

I'm SO excited to share with ya'll my first DIY tutorial. I've been seeing these tassel garlands a lot lately on pinterest and instagram, and I just love them! Of course, I just had to try making one myself! They are fairly easy to make but can be a tad time consuming.

I really hope you enjoy and I help inspire you to make your own. This is my very first tutorial, so I'm sure I have room for improvement, and I welcome comments and suggestions!

If you love these garlands but don't really feel like making one yourself, check out Studio Mucci. She makes gorgeous garlands and was my original inspiration for making mine.

BOWS

One thing you must know about me, I'm pretty much obsessed with anything that has a bow. I love bows! They are the perfect feminine detail that adds the perfect amount of "sweetness" to almost anything. I use to wear bows A LOT, I had pretty much every color bow headband you could think of, in all sizes. I just loved wearing them! You can imagine how excited I was when Gossip Girl came on and Blair Waldorf was always sporting a perfectly place bow! I use to swear that Blairs character was based off me. Haha (yea, right I wish!) When I became pregnant and a mom, I sadly stopped wearing my bow headbands. I guess I figured it wasn't something "moms" did...not that I would normally care. I guess I just got of ...move on from them for a while. Regardless of whether there's a bow in my hair or not, I will still rock anything else with a bow and always will!

Elsa of the month

Lilly Pulitzer is now offering some of their favorite Lilly prints on their signature Elsa top! This is some EXCITING news to all Lilly lovers! Elsa's are the most beautiful silk blouses that are so comfortable and extremely versatile. You can dress this blouse up or down. I personally love to wear mine in a more casual way, with skinny jeans and a cardigan if the weather is chilly. You can easily add a blazer over this elegant blouse for a day at work.

As of today (February 1st) the Hotty Pink First Impressions Elsa is available for purchase! Hotty Pink First Impressions is my favorite Lilly print. it may just be my favorite of all time. So I definitely plan on adding this beauty to my closet.
